This film will be released on the festival circuit and on DVD. Applicants must be dedicated, motivated and able to meet deadlines. The selected animator(s) will be working closely with the director, so the ability to follow directions and collaborate is a must. Award-winning NYC indie film studio Black Kraut Productions is looking for a single animator or a small team of animators to create an 18-minute short subject based on several stories developed by writer/director Matthew Hencke. The project should have the visual style of traditional hand-drawn animation (i.e. Tex Avery, 1940's Disney, Tom & Jerry, etc.), but can be generated in whatever format/software the animator chooses. The tone of the piece is dark and the subject matter is mature, but not vulgar.
