"Ladybird Lili" is a 2D/3D animated series being produced in Dublin, Ireland (three episodes have previously been created as a radio play, and are available for download on mp3). We are looking for 3D modelers, riggers and animators to interpret our concept designs in 3D: including some mad machines and robot bugs!
Our influences include "A Bug's Life" and "Bee Movie", as well as "Pinky and the Brain" and the original "Transformers" cartoons. This project is intended to raise eco-logical awareness and ultimately bring children of all nationalities together, just as the insects and the aliens (see synopsis below) will have to work together to live in peace.
SYNOPSIS:
Ladybird Lili, her sister Luca and their friends live in a green garden. One day their world is shattered when mutant alien bugs crash land in the compost heap. The alien bugs have a strange plant which makes them stronger than earth insects. But soon, Ladybird Lili and her friends fight back, developing strange powers themselves!
