On the evening of April 8th, 2006 The Animation Co-op presented its annual "Project Pitch Session ": an evening of 15-minute project pitches in the spacious Woodbury Design Center Gallery.

More than 110 enthusiastic attendees enjoyed a variety of independent animation project pitches, including "The Pagoda of Booze" by David Normal, radio personality Colom Keating's "Mr. Manly", "Birdland Swing" by Erik VanHorn & Roger Befeler, a double-bill from Garret Gilchrist ("Dance With Grandpa" & "The Chosen Ones"), Tim Granberg's "Nubbinwood", Michael Carpenter's "The Flower Of The Holy Ghost", and an update of "The Chosen One" by Chris Lackey (originally pitched at our 2004 session).

David Normal kicks off the evening with "The Pagoda Of Booze", based upon the comic misadventures of Oo Min Kyaw - the Burmese God of Drinking.

Radio's "Mr. Manly" amuses the audience with his tragicomic macho advice.

An amused audience... mostly.

Roger Befeler and Erik VanHorn pitch their animated short, "Birdland Swing", a safe distance from the mighty glare of the screen.

Tim Granberg presents "Nubbinwood" - the story of a beaver's quest for flight.

Garrett Gilchrist and his trusty sidekick (in red) address the group following a wacky double-bill of "Dance With Grandpa" and "The Chosen Ones" (not to be confused with Chris Lackey's "The Chosen One").

Garrett and Chris were last seen grappling in the parking lot. :-)
